Description
From Rough Sketch to Final
initially i was planning a dark background for it, as it progress, i figured why not a breezy day with cherry blossom as background? and it goes well with the dynamic flow of the hair, perfect!
Painting Process
1. Rough line art
2. add colors and suggest the look of the final
3. adding the light
4. painting the detail part by part
5. final color adjustment and touch up.
how much time i used to create this?
i started it 6 months ago, after the first few days and i used a really long pause, i mean it, about 5 months i think, due to busy working life, then i got the new background idea once i get back on this one after the pause, i dint really count the time i use for this one. It tooks me quite long. But what matters is, how long i take to do stuff like this now, i can do it within a few days i guess, provided theres nothing interupts me. Well ya, u can call me slow, im still new at this, i need more time to make sure everything looks right

Thanx for sharing your creative process. I labor under the misconception that illustration should be done perfect first time round and get terribly discouraged when this doesn't happen. Artists need to band together to shoot the inner critic :)
